Argh. Too much keyboarding this week; major project at work. Dexterity down. Typing speed down. Accuracy waaay down. This time, the left thumb tendon is swollen down into the wrist, and the whole thing feels bruised.

I wonder what loss of dexiterity will do for my art. I tend to have control issues and overwork things until they are downright ugly. Hmmm.... perhaps there are some abstracts in my future....

My official kick-off to SPRING: cleaning the screen porch so that I can enjoy the breeze, kick back and relax, and set up my easel. Time for dry media again! Dusty, dusty, messy fingers! [crossing fingers -- ouch -- that my arthritis lets me enjoy it!]

Good news: I had my Remicade infusion today, so my energy level should be up and my pain level should be down by the weekend. That usually means my creative energies start firing up, too.

Bad news: The doc thinks the pain in my thumbs is a BAD THING. Duh. If it continues, he'll increase my dose or increase the frequency. Better that than the alternative. You can't really function in this society without working thumbs.

Life has sucked the creativity right out of me. Despite my best intentions, I haven't put pen to paper (or even stylus to tablet) in days.

Just another bout of tendonitis in my thumbs. I REALLY hate this. Kinda slows down the creative process. But, I am back in the figure drawing class again after several months off. I love getting my hands dirty. Charcoal under the nails. Yummy.
